In a major boost to its order book, Dilip Buildcon Ltd. (DBL) announced on Saturday, March 28, 2026, that it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Gujarat government for a significant infrastructure project.

    Project Highlights: Narmada River Safety

The project focuses on critical infrastructure development in the Bharuch district to mitigate the impact of seasonal flooding.

    • Contract Value: ₹698.49 crore.

    • Scope of Work: Construction of a flood protection embankment on the Narmada River.

    • Executing Authority: Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpasar Department, Government of Gujarat.

    • Model: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis.

    • Timeline: The project is slated for completion within 24 months.

    Expanding Footprint: Recent Wins

This announcement follows a string of successful bids for the infrastructure major earlier this month:

    1. Odisha Road Project: DBL was recently declared the L1 (lowest) bidder for a six-lane diversion road in the Sundargarh district of Odisha.

      • Value: ₹160.2 crore.

      • Duration: 18 months.

    2. Diverse Portfolio: The company continues to balance its portfolio between high-value water resource management and its core strength in highway construction.

    Market Performance

Despite the positive news of the order win, Dilip Buildcon’s stock has faced some headwinds in the current calendar year.

    • Previous Close: Shares ended the last session at ₹389.85 (down 3.85%).

    • Year-to-Date (YTD): The stock has seen a decline of approximately 17.7% so far in 2026, reflecting broader market volatility or sector-specific corrections.

Analyst Note: The ₹698 crore Gujarat win is significant as it demonstrates DBL’s ability to diversify beyond road projects into complex water resource engineering, which may help stabilize long-term revenue streams.
