India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) has appointed Gauravjit Singh as Managing Partner and Global Head of Capital Formation to lead its global and domestic investor expansion as capital mobilization accelerates.
-
Industry Veteran: Singh brings nearly two decades of alternative asset fundraising experience, having previously held senior leadership roles at PAG in Singapore, True North, KKR in Hong Kong, and Goldman Sachs.
-
Capital Mobilization Momentum: The appointment comes as NIIF scales its fundraising efforts, having secured $3 billion in new equity commitments over the past 24 months, including a $750 million first close for Private Markets Fund II and a Rs. 19,000 crore ($2 billion) first close for Infrastructure Fund II.
-
Strategic Priority: In his new role, Singh will focus on deepening institutional relationships, expanding the NIIF ecosystem, and broadening capital sources to channel institutional investments into India’s infrastructure and private markets.
