Organized by the D2C Industry Association (D2CIA) at Eros Hotel in New Delhi, the Bharat D2C Conclave 2026 brought together over 180 D2C founders, venture capital investors, brand executives, and government policymakers from MeitY, FSSAI, and Consumer Affairs.

The event focused on the strategic playbook required to transition a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand from early traction to over ₹100 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) through omnichannel distribution, AI-driven marketing, first-party data utilization, and regulatory compliance.

    1. The ₹100 Crore Playbook: Balancing Channels & Distribution

Featuring leaders from Farmley, Beco, 4700BC, Hamilton Sciences, and Suchali’s Artisan Bakehouse, the flagship panel explored how growing consumer brands must diversify beyond their owned websites:

    • Role-Specific Channel Architecture:

      • Brand Websites (D2C): Primary touchpoint for product testing, capturing consumer feedback, establishing first-party data, and driving higher-margin direct relationships.

      • Quick Commerce (Q-Commerce): Serving immediate consumption needs and capturing impulse-driven urban demand.

      • Physical Retail (Modern Trade & General Trade): Essential for mass-market expansion, establishing offline brand presence, and driving large-scale volume.

    • Capital Efficiency in Acquisition: Founders highlighted the importance of balancing performance marketing spend across distinct distribution channels to manage customer acquisition costs (CAC).

    2. AI-Led Advertising & First-Party Data Strategies

Sessions led by performance marketing and data technology experts examined how changing ad algorithms demand new retention frameworks:

    • Leveraging First-Party Data: With privacy regulations and third-party cookie deprecation, session insights from platforms like CustomerLabs emphasized collecting direct user preference data to feed ad algorithms accurately.

    • Festive Advertising Trends: Insights presented by Datadrew analyzing over 1,000 D2C brands showed that brands utilizing dynamic AI-driven ad personalization saw higher conversion rates during seasonal shopping sprees.

    • First-Time Buyer Retention: Discussions featuring GoKwik and Intellemo highlighted mechanisms to turn one-off promotional purchasers into repeat, high-LTV (Lifetime Value) customers.

    3. Investor Expectations & Industry Collaboration

    • Venture Outlook for 2026: Panelists from V3 Ventures, Connexus Global Ventures, Venture Garage, and Fincart noted that investors are prioritizing sustainable unit economics, positive contribution margins, and clear omnichannel visibility over pure cash-burning top-line growth.

    • Unified Ecosystem: D2CIA announced plans to expand its founder-focused initiative with a membership program launching in December 2026 and a Mumbai edition of the Conclave scheduled for February 20, 2027.
