Qubo Shifts Focus From Surveillance to Crime Prevention With “AI Guard” and New Dual-Channel Dashcam

Hero Group-backed smart home and security brand Qubo has officially introduced its next-generation security lineup at the Connected World 2026 event. Pivoting away from passive video recording, the brand’s new strategy focuses on real-time active threat mitigation using its proprietary AI Guard technology. Alongside the home security upgrades, Qubo expanded its automotive portfolio by launching the affordable Dashcam Pro 2K (Front + Rear).

    1. Active Threat Prevention: Qubo AI Guard Security Cameras

Standard security systems simply record a crime while it happens; Qubo’s new AI Guard ecosystem aims to stop it entirely. Built directly into the new home security camera models, the software relies on edge-AI models to distinguish genuine security risks from baseline background movement.

    • Proactive Deterrence: When a suspicious individual or intruder is identified, outdoor models instantly activate automated physical deterrents, including built-in high-intensity spotlights and standalone acoustic sirens.

    • Tamper-Proof Backups: To eliminate the risk of intruders breaking or stealing the camera to destroy evidence, AI Guard routes an encrypted, instant backup stream directly to secure cloud servers.

    • Ecosystem Expansion: AI Guard will serve as the standard baseline software architecture across all newly released home security cameras. Older devices in the portfolio are scheduled to pick up the software via an over-the-air firmware rollout over the coming months.

    2. Dual-Channel Road Protection: Dashcam Pro 2K (Front + Rear)

Targeting everyday commuters looking for full-vehicle coverage without high premium costs, the new Dashcam Pro 2K (Front + Rear) is priced aggressively in India at ₹5,990.

    Feature Technical Specification
Front Lens Resolution 2K Quad HD video capture
Rear Lens Resolution 1080p Full HD video capture
Maximum Storage Up to 1TB via microSD card
Power Hardware Industrial Supercapacitor (extreme heat resistant up to 85°C)
Connectivity Built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for app tracking

The dual-channel camera relies on a physical hardware G-Sensor that detects sudden kinetic impact or collisions, instantly locking the corresponding timeline footage into a protected partition so loop recording doesn’t overwrite vital insurance evidence. While AI Guard is currently exclusive to the premium Dashcam 4G Live, Qubo will push the AI architecture out to the Dashcam Pro 2K and the rest of its automotive catalog by late 2026.

    Scale and Financial Growth

The product launch highlights a massive commercial scaling phase for the hardware ecosystem. CEO Nikhil Rajpal confirmed that Qubo officially crossed ₹350 crore in annual revenue during the last fiscal year, successfully crossing 2.5 million cumulative hardware units sold since the brand’s inception.
