Fashion e-commerce major Myntra is ramping up its supply chain and operational workforce, announcing plans to hire more than 26,000 temporary workers at its fulfilment centres for the upcoming festive season.
This massive recruitment drive marks a substantial increase from the 11,000 temporary positions onboarded last year, supporting its flagship Big Fashion Festival.
Key Highlights of Myntra’s Festive Hiring Drive:
-
Massive Scaling: Temporary hiring has more than doubled compared to last year to manage the anticipated surge in online shopping demand and delivery volumes.
-
Inclusivity and Diversity: Demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusive growth, Myntra has earmarked approximately one-third of these roles for women to ensure gender diversity across its supply chain network.
-
Empowerment for Differently Abled: The company has also created over 350 specialized positions dedicated to differently abled individuals across its operations.
-
Broader E-commerce Trend: Myntra’s expansion mirrors a wider surge in festive-season temporary employment across India’s digital commerce and logistics sectors, as major platforms scale up infrastructure to cater to growing consumer demand.
