Nothing is clearly keeping its foot on the gas pedal when it comes to its audio ecosystem. Getting certified by regulatory bodies is usually the final stretch before a company officially pulls back the curtain, so we will likely hear an official announcement from Nothing very soon.

Here is a quick breakdown of what these new listings tell us, and what we can realistically expect based on the brand’s current trajectory:

Nothing Ear 3a: The Next Value Mid-Ranger

    • The Clues: Spotted on Indonesia’s SDPPI database under model number B193.

    • The Strategy: The “a” suffix heavily implies this will be the direct successor to the highly praised Nothing Ear (a). Nothing uses the “a” moniker for devices that keep the premium aesthetic and core features—like solid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and punchy audio—while cutting just enough corners (like removing wireless charging or using slightly different case materials) to keep the price highly competitive.

CMF Buds Neo: Budget-Friendly & “Made in India”

    • The Clues: This one popped up on both Indonesia’s SDPPI and India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) platform under model number B190.

    • The Big Takeaway: The BIS filing specifically lists Optiemus Electronics Limited as the manufacturer, with production slated for their facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This is a massive confirmation that Nothing is doubling down on its “Make in India” initiative for its budget-focused sub-brand. Local assembly typically translates to lower import overheads, meaning the CMF Buds Neo will likely debut with a highly aggressive price tag targeted at the entry-level TWS market.

Where Do They Fit in the Current Lineup?

While the initial certifications don’t leak hardware specs like battery sizes or driver dimensions yet, we can easily map out where these will sit relative to the rest of the ecosystem:

Product Tier Expected Placement & Legacy Context
Premium Flagship Nothing Ear series (and upcoming Ear 3) — Flagship acoustic architecture, premium codecs, wireless charging, and maximum ANC power.
Mid-Range Sweet Spot Nothing Ear 3a — Transparent signature look, solid daily performance, and everyday essential smart features at a moderate price.
Aggressive Budget CMF Buds / Buds Neo — Clean, colorful matte designs focusing on massive value, local manufacturing, and pure essential functionality.

What to expect next: Once products hit BIS and SDPPI databases, official brand teasers usually follow within a few weeks. Given that Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei has recently noted a strong operational focus on expanding their audio and budget line ecosystems, an India launch timeline looks imminent.
