Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced a strategic diversity goal to scale female representation within its executive workforce to 20% by 2030, up from its current level of over 8%.

    • Expanding Talent Pipeline: The automaker reported that women account for approximately 45% of its newly recruited Management and Engineer Trainees for 2026, signaling a rapidly growing base of early-career female professionals.

    • Cross-Functional Growth: Female participation is expanding across traditionally male-dominated verticals, including manufacturing, engineering, R&D, sales, service, and corporate leadership.

    • Internal Advancement: Highlighting active career mobility, women achieved a 23% promotion and elevation rate across the company during fiscal year 2026.

    • DEI Frameworks: The long-term strategy incorporates gender-balanced hiring policies, targeted campus outreach, competency-based talent assessments, and specialized retention frameworks to support upward career progression in alignment with ESG goals.
