UK-based enterprise database management and cloud service provider DSP has officially marked its entry into India by launching its very first overseas Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru.

To establish and operate this new hub, DSP has teamed up with the consulting firm GoodWorks Group. The facility is located at the GoodWorks GCC Nexus within Prestige Tech Park in Bengaluru.

    Key Highlights of the Launch

    • Strategic Partnership: GoodWorks Group, co-founded by Sonia Sharma and Vishwas Mudagal, will act as the operational and consulting partner to help scale DSP’s local infrastructure.

    • Core Capabilities: As an Oracle Premium Partner, DSP plans to use the Bengaluru center to significantly boost its global consulting, delivery, and tech operations across enterprise database management and cloud platforms.

    • High-Profile Inauguration: The facility was officially opened by Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, CEO of the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), alongside K.T. Rajan, Director of Technology, Innovation, Education, and Skills at the British Deputy High Commission.

    Why Bengaluru?

Paul Cocks, Group Chief Operating Officer at DSP, emphasized that the city’s unique talent pool is the perfect fit for driving global client value.

“Bengaluru’s talent ecosystem makes it the right location to scale innovation and deliver greater value to our clients globally. Our GCC will strengthen our consulting, delivery, and technology capabilities across the Oracle landscape.” — Paul Cocks, Group COO, DSP

    Karnataka’s Growing GCC Dominance

During the event, KDEM CEO Sanjeev Kumar Gupta highlighted that Karnataka is no longer just a destination for lowering operational costs—it has shifted into a powerhouse for global technology creation.

    • 1,000+ GCCs currently operate out of Karnataka.

    • 660,000+ professionals are employed by these centers.

    • 40% of India’s entire GCC workforce is based in the state.
