After an 11-year hiatus since the ZenPad series launched in 2015, ASUS is making an official comeback to the Indian tablet scene. The company has announced its upcoming premium tablet, the ASUS Pad T3201, which is scheduled to go on sale in India starting August 6, 2026.

The new tablet focuses heavily on high-end entertainment and productivity, launching with the latest Android 16 software out of the box.

    Design and Display

The ASUS Pad T3201 is built for maximum portability, featuring a sleek 6.5mm profile and weighing just 523g. It will be available in a single White color option and includes a protective case bundled in the box.

The standout feature is its massive 12.2-inch 2.8K Dual-layer OLED display. This panel is engineered for intense brightness and color accuracy, pushing up to 2000 nits of peak brightness, a 144Hz fluid refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut. It also includes support for the ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus.

    Core Performance and Software

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek MT8792Z (Dimensity 8300) processor, paired with fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.

    Configuration Component Technical Specifications
    Processor MediaTek MT8792Z (D8300)
    Memory (RAM) 8GB LPDDR5X
    Storage Options 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1
Expandable Storage Up to 1TB via microSD card
    Operating System Google Android 16

Running Android 16, the tablet natively supports Google’s Circle to Search feature. It also integrates GlideX software right out of the box, letting users seamlessly share files or mirror screens across laptops, PCs, and smartphones.

    Camera, Audio, and Battery Life

For everyday utility, the tablet carries a 13MP rear camera optimized for photo capture and scanning documents, alongside a 5MP front camera with Face Unlock. On the audio front, it utilizes a quad-speaker system enhanced by Dolby Atmos 360° Cinematic Sound.

To keep the large OLED display running, ASUS packed in a robust 9,000mAh Lithium-polymer battery that supports 45W fast charging via its Type-C port. Wireless connectivity is fully up-to-date with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

    Availability

While ASUS has kept the official Indian pricing under wraps for now, the ASUS Pad T3201 is confirmed to go on sale starting at 12:00 PM on August 6, 2026. Consumers will be able to purchase it across Flipkart, Reliance Digital, the official ASUS e-store, and brick-and-mortar retail stores.
