The National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), India’s sovereign-anchored alternative asset manager, has appointed Gauravjit Singh as Managing Partner and Global Head of Capital Formation.
Key Highlights of the Appointment:
-
Role and Mandate: Singh will spearhead global and domestic fundraising efforts across NIIF’s various investment strategies, with a core focus on deepening relationships with existing institutional partners and expanding the firm’s investor base.
-
Professional Background: He brings nearly two decades of experience in raising institutional capital across global and pan-Asian alternative strategies. Most recently, he served as the Head of Investor Relations and Fundraising for PAG’s private equity division in Singapore (where he also sat on the investment and exit committees), with past leadership tenures at True North and KKR.
-
Fundraising Momentum: The appointment aligns with a period of strong capital mobilization for NIIF, which has secured approximately $3 billion in new equity commitments over the preceding 24 months. This includes robust initial closes for its Infrastructure Fund II (₹19,000 crore / ~$2 billion) and Private Markets Fund II.
