The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has issued an official public warning regarding Mumbai-based Stareureka Insurance Marketing. The regulator stated that the company is no longer authorized to conduct any insurance-related business or marketing services.
Expiration of Regulatory License
Stareureka was previously operating under a valid Certificate of Registration (CoR) issued by the IRDAI. However, that legal authorization has officially lapsed:
-
Valid Registration Period: May 18, 2020, to May 17, 2023.
-
Current Status: The CoR has expired and has not been renewed by the regulator.
Because the company does not hold a valid license, the IRDAI emphasized that Stareureka is completely unauthorized to offer, provide, or render any insurance marketing services within Indian regulatory jurisdiction.
Directive to Consumers
In an official statement released on Friday, June 12, 2026, the IRDAI strongly advised the general public to protect themselves by cutting ties with the firm:
Official Warning: Members of the public are advised not to deal with the company or any individual claiming to act as its agent, adviser, employee, or representative regarding any insurance policy, claims, or services.
Consumers are urged to verify the registration status of any insurance intermediary directly on the official IRDAI portal before purchasing policies or submitting claims.
